Plan around your land.

Every property.
A different purpose.

Start with how your land is used. Then identify the materials your project needs.

01   Define the purpose

02   Map the site & openings

03   Match materials to the job

A clearer brief starts with three things.

The use

Tell us what the fence needs to contain or separate, and whether the area is for pasture, holding or everyday access.

The site

Note slopes, corners, existing posts and the clear width of each gate opening. A simple sketch helps explain the layout.

The starting point

List what you already have, what needs replacing and what is still undecided. Include quantities and delivery location.

Pasture and boundary fencing

Map the proposed fence line, corners, changes in ground level and existing boundaries. Include the livestock or exclusion purpose and the approximate total length. Field fencing, posts and barbed wire are material categories to discuss; the appropriate combination depends on the site and intended use.

Livestock containment

Describe the animals, their size and the way the enclosure will be used. A quiet pasture and a high-contact holding area can place different demands on fencing. Compare continuous cattle panels and corral panels with a qualified installer or designer before specifying a layout.

Holding and handling areas

Provide a sketch showing entrances, gates, adjoining runs and existing components. Note whether panels must be relocatable and identify the connections you already have. Materials alone do not establish a safe handling system; layout and suitability need separate review.

Gates and property access

Measure the clear opening between mounting points. Describe pedestrian, vehicle or livestock access, the intended swing and the posts or walls carrying the hinges. Include photographs of existing hinge and latch arrangements when asking about compatibility.

Illustrative inquiry

“We are planning a pasture boundary with two access openings. The fence line is about 1,200 feet; the gate openings are not measured yet. Please help identify the material information needed for a quote.” This example is an inquiry only, not a customer project or approved design.
